Episode 58: The Tenuous Connections Between Coffee and Theology.

This week, Alan, Greg and Scott look at a Relevant Magazine article on coffee and theology and use it as a springboard for a conversation about trends in church and Christian culture.

In Episode 58, the lads play #PatronSaintOfWhat and then turn their struggling attention spans to a great Relevant Magazine article by Jesse Carey on 'What Your Coffee Says About Your Theology.' (13:00) The conversation is ... meandering ... but often stumbles (possibly unintentionally) into the hilarious and/or the profound!

Episode 57: Why Going To A Small Church Is Ruining Your Family ... or is it?

Episode 57 is #NotSponsoredBy the Jesus bracelet, the potent combination of the healing power of Jesus and 3000 gauss magnets of soothing copper. More disturbing than the product is Jesus' moustache on the logo.

This is also the first of week of #PatronSaintOfWhat, a ludicrous multiple choice quiz where Alan and Greg have to guess what lesser known saints are patrons of. This include St. Drogo, the patron saint of unattractive people.

Finally (at c. 15 mins in), we discuss a clip from a talk by Andy Stanley where he describes parents as selfish if they don't go to a big enough church, a conversation that is hilarious but also honest and personal.

Episode 56: The Real Reason We Don't Want You To Plant Your Stupid Church Here.

This week's episode is #NotSponsoredBy A Game For Good Christians, the 100% real and hilarious Christian equivalent of "Cards Against Humanity". From there, we discuss the winners and losers at the Oscars and a brilliant article by Nate J. Lee called 'Hillsong Church: Do Not Colonise San Francisco.' As Lee shares his frustrations with the idea of Hillsong coming to San Francisco and the challenges their theological justification presents, we reflect on new church movements in Ireland, how they make us feel and whether or not our we can justify our objections. Highlights of the show include Scott comparing Greg to Donald Trump twice before eventually calling him a 'prophetic pain in the ass.'

On a much more serious and important note, we also look at the story of Larycia Hawkins, a political science professor at Wheaton College, who was suspended after posting on Facebook that Muslims and Christians "worship the same God."

Do you agree? And do we? Tune in to find out! (Skip to 18 mins for those who find our intros 'a bit much'! We understand. We really do.)

In the final episode of the year, Alan, Greg and Scott talk about the most common New Year's Resolutions, Buzzfeed's most ridiculous suggestions and the lads' hesitation about making them.

This week we're #NotSponsoredBy 'King Of Kings', a Nintendo Version of the Christmas Story. Listen to an 8-bit version of 'We Three Kings' as you take control of one of the Magi making their way to Bethlehem and answer Bible trivia. Believe it or not ... That actually makes it sound more interesting than it is.

Thanks so much for all your support in 2015! We look forward to bringing you more ludicrous conversation and the occasional insightful tidbit (by accident) in 2016.

Episode 46: Christian dancing, Christmas cracker jokes and keeping Christmas fresh.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a house ... Mainly because of the obnoxious laughter coming from three Irish eejits making jokes so bad that they would be rejected by most Christmas crackers.

This week we're #NotSponsoredBy "Dance Praise 2: The Remix" where Christian music meets the dance mat and we talk church signs, Bible puns and how, after spending decades spent in church, we keep Christmas fresh for ourselves.

You can see the signs and read the puns by clicking the links.
